The mission of New Beginning is to find the peace of God by fulfilling 2 Peter 3:18.

“But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.”

Peace is found in a two-step process. First get to Know Jesus. Then Grow in your relationship with Jesus.

Know and Grow

Know

1. We have made a mess of our lives.

Romans 3:23 “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God”

Romans 6:23 “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

2. God loves us and wants us to have a wonderful life.

John 10:10 “I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.”

John 17:3 “Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.”

3. God gave his son to pay for our sins.

Romans 5:8 “But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”

John 3:16 “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life."

1 Corinthians 15:3-4 “that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures.”

4. We can receive God’s gift of salvation by asking for his forgiveness for our sins.

Ephesians 2:8 “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God.”

Colossians 1:12-14 “and giving joyful thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of his holy people in the kingdom of light. For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.”

5. Ask Jesus to be our Lord and Savior.

John 14:6 “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”

Matthew 7:8 “For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.”

Please pray this prayer:

Lord Jesus, I want to know you.

Forgive me of my sins and take control of my life.

Thank you for giving me abundant and eternal life

through your death, burial, and resurrection.

In the name of Jesus, amen.

Once you have met Jesus, you will want to know him better by growing in his grace and love.
